Hi,

While I was finalizing the application to be sent, I noticed on one of my wife (applicant) form that there was a date (year) that was wrong. I can't just ask her to send again it can take a week. So I corrected the year with black pen. Is this ok or CIC will make trouble with it ? anyone else sent form with by hand corrections ?

Thanks

I won't suggest to correct that form with pen if it is prepared online, validated and has a bar code.

It is not a barcode form, it is Schedule A – Background/Declaration [IMM 5669] . In this case is it ok ? as there is not bar the information is not automatically scanned .

Hi,I corrected some of my application forms after I had printed them,I only got a request to send 1 form I had left blank and neither of the ones I had corrected!-so not a problem i reckon!

It would also probably depend on how crucial the info is. If it is not extremely important then go ahead but just make sure it is clear. After all it is hopefully the one place. You can also check whether it is in the middle e.g page 3 of 4 because if it is you can retype the details on a new page and not have to sign. All the best!

I could reprint but the problem is here in Canada we have different paper size, letter in Canada, and my wife sent her form in A4 which is slightly biger. I know that having some form is different format is not an issue. But same form with different page size can look weired like if it is not my wife but i tempered the information.

If anyone knows a place in Montreal where we can print in A4 then I can go and print it again. Otherwise i have to stick with hand correction :(
