Hi All,

I am wondering whether I have an alternative to IELTS, since I have tried twice already without much success.

1st attempt scores were S:8.5, L:7.5, R: 7.5 & W:7, just missed out on Listening by 0.5 score as a result failed to claim CLB 9 or more in all 4 sections.

2nd attempt scores were S:7.5, L:8, R:7 & W:6.5. I focused more on Listening to score 8 points, however got a lower score in Writing and Reading.

I am a bit hesitant to go for the 3rd try as I am busy these days with work and etc.

If at least CELPIP was available outside Canada, I can have a go and score high as I have heard good reviews about CELPIP.

Please advise.

You have an option to apply for re-evaluation of your IELTS result.
CELPIP is not available outside Canada.

no celpip outside canada

i was in your position , kept losing 0.5 mark in either listening or writing , four times , CELPIP is a lot easier but very hard in Speaking , didn't score well in it

Man, don't give up on your IELTS, you are almost there. I have taken IELTS 4 times to get CLB>9 in all sections. Stay focused and you will get it! Good luck!

Hi

I am quite sure you would have got 7 in writing after rescoring!

What type of strategies did you follow for listening to increase your band?

Cheers,

Gireesh

Hi thanks for the suggestions. U think it is possible to crack celpip speaking with good practice? Iam like many people losing 0.5 in either writing or listening section of ielts even after many trials. Now thinking of doing celpip. Please advise.
