Well, you might be right, but I don't think that makes sense. If the BOWP is only valid until the decision is made on the PR, why is it valid for one year? it could easily indicats in the WP that upon decision made something like this...skm12345 said:Yes, it is almost same with minor changes.

There is a written law which is in force for marriages and legal conjugations. In those events, the sponser sends the application and applies for his/her spouse - so the prime mover there is the sponser - and not the "applicant". Therefore, in the event of the sponser ot being there, the law clearly states the terms.byrwus said:Just my two cents:
When you get married in Canada and based on that you have an open work permit, your work permit expires immediately if you get divorced or abandon your spouse.
It might be a problem for those who kept working after the PR application got refused if they ever apply for PR again.
By the way, Do the rejected applicants receive a letter with instructions on their situation?
Did you get any more information on this?Armaa060 said:Hi All,
I have applied for a PR under CEC class and my current work permit is going to expire on feb 2014 , so i have applied for bridge permit and i got my bridge open work permit.
I have received an email from CIO saying that my PR application is rejected due to IELTS score is not sufficient.
1) Is my Bridge permit is valid now ?
2) Can I continue in canada as a worker ?
3) Can i apply again with new IELTS score ?
Any suggestions...
Thanks
Armaa
I hope you noticed that that was a VERY OLD thread.capt.nemo said:Has this debate been settled? Can you stay and work once your PR is refused but you have a valid BOWP?
