If the passport is issued in Indian Consulate in Canada, then write Canada. This question is not about Country of Citizenship but about the country where the passport has been issued. At least I wrote Canada as I got my passport renewed in Toronto and didn't have any problems with this.

Cec is based on previous experience, so changing employment status does not change your application (considering you have applied under cec), thus you don't need to inform CIC. AOR has generic format and for other programs changing employment status may matter but not for cec.

It is possible that you will not see any status update on ecas at all. Just resently we received our cards but I don't have any update on ecas about PR cards. Current pr card processing time is 87 days. In my case it took 93 days to arrive. So just sit and wait.

No. You can't apply alone. You can apply for owp only if your spouse wp is valid for 6 months or more.

Could you please give a link to this information? To me it seems like a FUD. For sure CIC doesn't share information with airlines, so they could not know if you are PR or just a visitor. I can't believe CIC would share information about Canadian permanent residents with forighn airlines.

I'm confused. What does it mean - "they will admit you as a visitor"? Are you going to lose your PR status because of entering w/o PR card? Also, I don't really understand how time spent in Canada could be not counted for required 2 years if you can prove that you was in Canada.

As per some Canadian Immigration Lawyers, it should not be a problem to get through Canadian Border Agents without PR card if you are from visa-exempt country, able to board commercial vehicle, and have no problems with residency obligations...

Yes, I got decision made (and COPR) without CIC asking for Medical. CIC automatically extended my Medical Certificate which I did for wp extension and which has already expired at the time of decision.

CIC will cancel and refund only if you ask for it. They will not cancel AND refund if you didn't ask for it and you are not already PR. In fact my BOWP got approved just in 7 days after "Decision Made" in my CEC application. And this make sense because for some ppl it is not always possible to...
