Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
According to someone who is tweeting with the CHC in London, all 15 PAFSO officers are working flat out processing applications. London's website say that processing times for study permits are 8-10 weeks. I've heard from others the normal turnaround is 3 weeks. I'm hitting the 3 week marker today and start week 4 tomorrow. School starts september 3. Climbing walls, biting nails, driving my cats mad, is what I'm doing right now.

Has anyone had anything out of London since the strike started? In particular study permits? How long did it take?

Hiya...not heard anything back...when did you submit your application? Did you submit directly to the CHC or to the VAC?

Mine went the on-line route. I'm also TRV excempt. Submitted July 2nd.

Ah! Does it make a difference if you are TRV exempt or not? Is the processing time still the same 8 -10 weeks?

I have no idea. All I know is that most people from my country get theirs in 2-3 weeks even if the processing time says 8-10 weeks. I'm going nuts here.

Where did you get the tweet from? I just checked their twitter and couldn't find it :-[

Fingers crossed for you, it will come through soon

I heard that about two weeks ago and I saw the tweet myself. @CanadianUK is the CHC London twitter account.

Ok, that is positive news and I will take it. Let's hope they manage to get through applications quickly...I've heard summer is the busiest time for them...

Hi

I'm a British citizen so I don't need a TRV just wating on a study permit and I hit the 11 week mark tomorrow.

I applied online on May 7th.

Queried it at week 8 and was told it's being processed. They are definitely running behind :(

I also applied for TWP for my spouse so maybe this is also slowing it down. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Oh crap. Well, you're only the messenger so I won't shoot you. ;-) Fingers crossed we all get it in time.

I'll keep you updated - at least you'll have a recent idea of where processing times really stand then.

Thanks Maz..hopefully you should get it before the 12th week is up! I think that's the maximum we've seen so far on here recently
