Is an online Police Certificate accepted?

The state in the US I lived in 6 years ago for longer than 6 months offers online criminial record checks by charging your credid card. Will such a report (which is a print out of the text on the screen) be accepted by the CIC?

you should follow the procedures set by CIC for obtaining police clearance certificates

there will be instructions relevant to each country

I had read that link. At the very place it has instructions on where to obtain State PCCs. Then at my state's website, you have an option of doing the check online. My question is regarding that part as it is easier for me to do it by credit card for I am not in the States now.

i think online checks is for you to do a check on an employee. So if you want to see whether you have a record go ahead.
Printing out the online form and sending it to CIC - i don't think that would work. At least that is my opinion.

Yeah, I have the same feeling. But do you know how I can order state PCCs from outside US? The application forms do not have a place for the name of the country in the address section as it is persumed that people are applying within US. Also they ask you to send them a prepaid envelope for the results to be sent back to you. How can you get such an envelope outside US? Or it might be easier to have someone do the application for you from the uS and send the results back to you after they are received?

what horrible state did you live in. Mine is pretty nice, they did everything for me.

YOu can get stamps from usps.com, stick it on to an envelope with your address in front. Thats a prepaid envelope.

you can also ask your friend to send it to you.

If the application doesn't have a place for the country, just write it in.

i confirm that people apply through buffalo now need state PCC for sure.
I dont know if your visa office requests it and i dont know even if they dont request it, they may still expect it.

i donot think I have read anywhere state PCC is required.
I thought FBI clearance is sufficient. any serious crimes will reflect in fbi record.

please read the link I posted above, it is the system today

all in-country instructions now refer you to the master list of countries under the topic of PCCs

so, if for USA it says "FBI plus individual States", it does not mean FBI only
