If it is regulated then what are the additional documents I need to send with my application when compared to non-regulated occupation? How regulated occupation is different than non-regulated?harwinder67 said:Yes, it is a regulated occupation in all the provinces.
so without this certification no one would able to work in NOC2173?harwinder67 said:In Ontario, you need P.Engg. Certification from PEO (Professional Engineers Ontario, peo.on.ca)
This takes a long time, at least an year or so. I would suggest you to stick with 2174.
Ohh..so i need to get that certification and then apply for OPPNP?harwinder67 said:As a software engineer myself with 12+ years of experience, i really doubt if anyone cares about P.Engg. However, the visa officer will go by the rule book, which says 2173 is regulated by PEO, so get your damn certification first.
It is usually required when you are working on government contracts or you are doing any consulting projects, which involve public safety etc.
i will advise you look here http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/is-noc-2173-regulated-in-ontario-t308154.0.html and you can send a personal message to @rajanvnv for further info.Ordinary said:Ohh..so i need to get that certification and then apply for OPPNP?
