I have received an email today mentioning about a survey conducted by IRCC. They mentioned that it will have no impact on our application currently in progress and the participation is voluntary.

Anyone who received such email, if he or she can their experience? It seemed to come from an authentic email address.

Any feedback will be appreciated.

Good to know that someone else also got that email. Yes it is not mandatory. I just wanted to see the authenticity of email. Thanks for your feedback.

It's legit. The email comes from an @cic.gc.ca address, and the survey is hosted on voxco.com (check their clients page here - http://www.voxco.com/our-clients/ - scroll down and you'll see that the Canadian government has contracts with them in a number of departments).

Survey about what?! Simply finish our applications in reasonable time and everybody will be happy!

Hmm... If this is a customer satisfaction survey, wouldn't it be best for people who are done with the application? They probably will get better opinions on them that way :D

I received it in my wife email address. I didn’t receive it. And we are still waiting for our oath invitation. For 2 sec I was happy that it is oath invitation :(

I also received the same email, quite late on Friday night. I haven't clicked on the link yet and don't know if I will. I've only just in the past couple of weeks got IP status so there is plenty of time yet for my opinions on the Canadian immigration system and those who run it to change for the better or worse.

Assuming you have the same survey I got (with the same subject), there aren't any questions about the immigration system. It's about your life in Canada, how much you knew about the services and systems available to new permanent residents at the time you became PR, and how (if at all) that knowledge has increased by now.

The purpose I assume is to see if there are any programs and services they offer which are being under utilized (or that nobody knows about) so that they can advertise them better or improve them.

They say it'll take 30 minutes but it took me about 10.

Also, I got my test invite email the day after I filled out the survey. I really don't think that has anything to do with it at all....... but just saying...
