Assuming you have the same survey I got (with the same subject), there aren't any questions about the immigration system. It's about your life in Canada, how much you knew about the services and systems available to new permanent residents at the time you became PR, and how (if at all) that knowledge has increased by now.

The purpose I assume is to see if there are any programs and services they offer which are being under utilized (or that nobody knows about) so that they can advertise them better or improve them.

They say it'll take 30 minutes but it took me about 10.

Thanks, you were right, nothing about the immigration system. All filled in now.

I have received this online survey yesterday, and it just took ten min to answer. I am still waiting for test invitation.

I have also received this Survey. Exactly as stated above, it is about your settlement process as a PR, not about the immigration system or anything related to the Citizenship application.

I completed it last week as soon as I received it. I believe it is not related at all to the citizenship application- I just sent mine in, arrived June 11th 2018, still waiting for AoR, no updates or changes after I completed the survey.

Cheers,

I should be clear that I’m not serious about this being tied to getting a test invite. While it was indeed spooky that I got the email so soon after doing the survey, I’m 100% sure that it’s just a coincidence.

I did the survey back in February and it’s was people who had DM on their file and no it didn’t help with Oath Invite I still had to wait 8 months after DM for Oath Invite but you never know.

I just received this survey email too. I sent my application on July 3rd and they received it July 6th. No AOR yet, but what does this mean? Did they open my file already (since they sent the survey to the email address on the application)? Also, the survey is about settlement in Canada as a new PR (I am not a new PR) and also it's only for people who have not used settlement services funded by IRCC.

I think they sent this survey out with a shotgun rather than a sniper rifle. It wasn't hugely relevant to me either, but I filled it out and I hope they get some useful data from it and it helps them improve their services.

Hi Guys,
Any recent info regarding the procedure time frame. I already applied on June 10, still nothing received other than the survey.

I don't know if this is just me, but there is something physically painful about receiving the email for this survey. I mean, you are waiting for a test invite from IRCC, you see an email from IRCC and you get your hopes up, and it turns out its for a survey you already took last week (and you had your hopes up last week as well).

Survey about what?! Simply finish our applications in reasonable time and everybody will be happy!
I'd like to have a case officer that I can speak to directly about my application. I have some friends who went through the citizenship pricess in Australia. There they know the person who is working their case and can contact them any time. IRCC is a black hole where you don't know anything and it's hard to get info.
