I just got a response to my other ATIP request with A LOT of data. Scarborough has over 17000 files who completed test but not received a decision, higher than all other offices! Kitchener 1389, London 707, Niagara Falls 1702. As I said previously, Scarborough is where files go to rot!!! I will post the whole document later.

Hi

I live in Niagara region, but when I received test invitation was from Scarborough office ?! Is that mean my office is Scarborough ? Thanks

must be due to the reason that interviews are quite common in this office which adds to further delays..

I understand your angst, however painting this whole office with a broad brush isn’t the right approach.

I don’t tend to concur with this assessment- there’s loads of folks (including myself- check July 2021 thread) who have got their applications approved - my test was completed in Feb and it took circa 3 months for them to approve my application notwithstanding several US trips during the eligibility period.

Good luck with yours and others - it’s just a matter of time before you get yours approved.

They have an incomplete file from January 1991, I think this proves that files rot at Scarborough. :D Not all files obviously. https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-i...online-atip-proof.769064/page-6#post-10113548

Yes. There could be multiple reasons.. They do not have sufficient work force or staff is not capable of doing things or staff do not want to work at all or they are extra smart that they think we all are culprit should be screened properly before giving citizenship. BTW somehow I do not have this pending application information in ATIP notes I received.

@Jakev - have you received the email with oath instructions? Not sure how early Scarborough office is sending the email these days…

They can have millions of file in backlog. But they can not pick and chose what files to be processed. This is unethical and discrimination. They cannot process files applied in 2022, while the 2019 applicants are waiting. Unless the application needs a secondary review. Most of the 2019 applications are lying because of their unethical handling of applications. One of my friend applied in 2019, nothing fishy on his application or secondary review or any special note on ATIP, no interviews no passport request. Just got the citizenship in June 22. SCR office is definitely do not represent the Canadian values.

& how many total applications each of these offices received & processed? Do you have similar data for Mississauga office?

I agree that there is some issue with sequencing of applications. Aug-2021 applicants are getting citizenship while 2019 applicants are still stuck, but there could be reasons (valid or invalid) for it. May be they are divided in different sections to process applications from different years.
