Good day John Doe,
Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
We are happy to provide you with information that will help you understand the current status of your
Application for Canadian Citizenship.
- Your application is currently at the IRCC office in Scarborough. This office is verifying if you meet the eligibility requirements to be granted Canadian citizenship. Rest assured that you will be contacted if additional information is needed.
- The next step will be to invite you to attend the citizenship test. The local office will schedule an appointment for you in due course, if necessary.
- We recommend that you verify the e-Client Application Status (e-CAS) online tool regularly to see when a new notice is sent to you.
In the meantime, we invite you to visit our website for the estimated
processing time and for
the steps following the submission of a Citizenship application.
Although the estimated time may vary, rest assured that we are making the necessary efforts to process your application within established processing times.
Should you need to travel during this time, please ensure to hold a valid
permanent resident card.
Also, we have verified the file of Jane Doe and were unable to find information stating that you are their representative.
The
Privacy Act ensures that a person's identity and personal information are protected. For this reason, we cannot respond to your enquiry since this file contains personal information about another person.
In order to respond to your enquiry, Jane Doe must provide written consent to IRCC by completing the
Use of a Representative form and submitting it via the
IRCC Web form. You may also contact the appropriate
governing body to verify that you are a member in good standing.
If you already provided a Use of a Representative form by mail, the office may not have processed it yet. In order to assist you, please resend the form. Upon reception of this information, it will be our pleasure to update the file. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
A few useful tips
- When filling out the form, ensure that each question has been answered, the application type is identified and the appropriate sections of the form have been signed and dated by all relevant parties.
- If your request if for an outside Canada application, please use the visa office specific IRCC Web form (make sure to answer Yes to the question Is your application being processed by an office OUTSIDE Canada?) to send the form to the responsible Canadian visa office.
- A separate form is required for each individual you wish to represent, even if they are part of the same application.
- If needed, more information on immigration and citizenship representatives is available for you on our website.
We hope the information provided is helpful in assisting you with your enquiry.
