Invitation to Pre-arrival services

• I am sponsoring my wife
• submitted my application in May 2017
• completed medical & background information in June 2017
• received an email that the application has been forwarded to visa office in Rome, Italy in September 2017
• received Invitation to Pre-arrival services February 27, 2018
• received email requesting passport for final review February 28, 2018

The waiting and lack of update at times has been unbearable for me but reading some of the threads in this forum and other forums in the website have been encouraging and very helpful!!

Dont let that worry you! Another user from the Sydney VO said it took them 3 months!

Congrats on the letter! I'm waiting for my PPR too. It's been more than 3 months now...

I received pre arrival letter in the month of November 2017. Asked for GCMS Note on 16 Feb 2018. I am from military background. Still no MR or anything... any suggestion please. Thanks.

I have received the pre-arrival services letter too yesterday and no PPR yet.
is this another new step in this long waiting process???? [sigh!!!....]
I don't think i've heard of this pre-arrival letter in the older threads
