My wife is going to apply to visit me in Canada and I have to provide a invitation letter, I will have to sign the letter I am guessing but do I send her the letter or the visa office? if I have to send it to her do I send her the original or can I scan it and email the letter to her?

Email or send the original letter by ordinary mail to your wife.

The invitation letter is part of the application and therefore, you should send it to her. She will include it in the application folder. What the other member was trying to tell you is that you can either use regular mail to send the letter to her or you can use a photocopier which converts your invitation letter to PDF file and then you can email that PDF file to her. Personally, I think it is better for you to send the original invitation letter and attach a photocopy of your Canadian birth certificate if you were in Canada or your Canadian citizenship card if you are a naturalized citizen.

I hope that is clearer explanation.

Just sign it, scan it and email it to her - It's pretty straightforward.

No, I don't think you'd need another invitation letter as you're already IN Canada. :)

hashbash.. Im back not in canada...

if you're applying for another TRV then you should follow the same procedure, if you're EXTENDING then you don't need an invitation letter :)
