Hi,

My wife is the primary applicant and we moved from US on intra company transfer LMIA Exempt to Montreal Quebec. She was on maternity leave for 4 months.

1. To get the points for Job offer do we need to wait for an year?
2. Does maternity leave 4 months can be added to the work experience in Canada?

Thanks,
Shyam

Yes she must work for her employer under her ICT work permit for a year.

I truly hope you're not thinking of applying for PR via Express Entry, do remember that one of the requirements is to have the intention to reside outside the province of Quebec, by claiming points for a valid job offer you might end up shooting yourself in the foot.

Hi @DelPiero07, appreciate your help here. i have completed a 1 year with my company after they brought me to Canada on a LMIA-exempt work permit for Incomparably transfer. I have a job offer from the Canadian branch issued to me in October 2018 and duration says 4 years. do you think i qualify for the 50 points? shall i go ahead and claim that i have a valid job offer?

YES YOU CAN DO IT

OK, just to let you guys know, I've updated my profile in Express entry and got myself the extra 50 points. I should get an invite next draw, and can only hope that the immigration officer will consider my contract validity till mid-2022 is sufficient enough to meet the requirements.

How do you plan to address the Quebec bit?

What is the Quebec bit? i do not intend to work or live in Quebec?

Sorry - you hijacked the OP's thread so I thought the job offer was in Quebec.

Does anybody able to claim additional 50 points with intra company transfer(LMIA exempt, Specialized knowledge)?

Below are my details:

1.I have completed my 1 year experience working in Canada at March 20201 on the close work permit, Intra company transfer (specialized knowledge, LMIA exempt).

2.I have a job offer letter which has been given by the employer stated, “temporary work permit for two years to be issued” dated Feb -2020.

3.I have a work permit valid until March 2022.
4.I have all my paystubs, T4 document, employment letter dated in April (mentioned Full time, Canada experience mentioned, annual salary)

Will these documents helpful for claiming those 50 points?

Hi were you able to claim 50 points

im also in same boat currently working on closed work permit not sure if i can claim 50 points as it is intra company transfer

I dont think LMIA Exempt job offers are valid for the 50 points I joined a company back in July 2021 on a closed work permit and When i tried to claim points it rendered my EE profile invalid.

Talk with your firm if they can nominate you for PNP outside Quebec
