Hello everyone, my ecas has changed into in process for the first time since my wife attended an interview in visa office outside Canada on November 28th 2012. They said they started processing on January 10th 2013. Could someone tell me the meaning of that and how long would it take to hear from them again. Thanks in advance.....

Need Suggestions!!

What if the interview went well, but visa officer asks for some more docs... is it positive or negative??
Anyone with similar experience??

Dear Cal2Can

If interview Went well and in the end of of Interview, VO asked for more documents (more evidence to prove a genuine Marriage) means the person still in 50-50 situations. VO kept his final decision pending and if VO will satisfy with the more documents, it will go to positive result or else it will be a negative result. The process will also take longer in that case.

Were you asking this for yourself?

Good Luck..

@ Wizbee

My friend?

I hope your interview on 14th Jan went well. How was that?? Can you share our experience so that It may helpful to others who are scheduled for an interview.

Wishing you good Luck.

No, it was my wife's interview she was told to go the will mail her then we didn't hear anything from 28 November 2012 until January 13 2013 when ecas changed to in process and when you click it says they started processing the application january 10 2013.

If anyone has had an interview and wouldn't mind filling out this survey I am trying to see if what I heard is correct. What I heard is that if your status changes to in-process before you are asked for an interview, you probably won't have an interview. The more people that fill this out, the more well rounded the results will be.

Once I have a larger number of responses, I'll post a nice little post with the results thus far.

Good luck to all of us in this immigration process!!

we had successful interview this morning and hope same for everyone else. i want to share my exp. with all of you and i will be glad, if it can help you :)
first thing, they open at 8:20 and car parking is in front of Australia embassy. we had trouble finding parking :)
i think they make list of questions according to your case and they did same in my case, so questions will be different for everyone. My interviewer was a Canadian man and he asked me if i need an interpreter for my first language. there was one hindi/punjabi interpreter also . they said it would be easier for you, if you give interview in Hindi and i said ok :). then VO started questioning from start of our relationship and i gave all answers in english, i didnt use interpreter at all. all questions were based on our relationship and our personal life so i dont think, if you need to prepare for that. you just need to know each other very well ;)
they called me in at first and asked-

*when, where and how did you meet?
*when and where did you live together?
*development of your relationship after very first day?
*why didnt you get married to someone from India??, why to someone from Canada??
*personal life of sponsor, school, colleges, courses, work and all important dates such as, date of moving to Canada, date of leaving Canada and entering India.
*if she is pregnant or not, if not, why not ?
*detailed information about her parents
*engagement, marriage and reception, who attended and who didnt, if not why??
*about rituals in religious ceremony and number of guests
*wedding album
*future plans
*what kind of job, you are looking for?
*what side of bed, you sleep on :)

then they called my wife in and sent me out and asked her some questions from listed above, to match our answers and then called me in and said congratulations :)
i think its not a big deal to handle interviews for a real couple, they ask very simple questions about , you, your spouse and your lives, nothing more than that.
good luck to everyone having interviews :)

Thanks you :) , this will be useful for me :)

Where can i find more questions for Interview?
