Hi Darkness
So was your interview successful if she really meant there was nothing with the application?

Yes. But, interview was really technical, she asked all related to my work experience in a very friendly manner, and in the end she told me that she is fully satisfied and told me to ask anything about Canada. :)

@Ario: You can refer to www.caipsnotes.com for more information.

They also pick names randomly. In my interview at Abu Dhabi the officer told me that they picked my name randomly and not to worry there is nothing wrong with the application.

i don't think they pick name randomly. just to please you he / she said that. interiview is only required when some additional information is required or they are not satisfied with some information. this is my sole opinion.

i m 100% sure they dont pick persons randomly as it is not a lucky draw.They only call when they are not satisfied or in doubt about your work experience.So goodluck to u as u were successful to satisfy them

Can i know whether they will make a decision (ie medicals or rejection) quickly after the interview.. or else the decision will extend indefinitely??

Darkness
Has your case been finalised? I mean was the PR approved after the interview?
I know of a friend who was given the medical exams forms after the interview.The interviewer told him that his PR was approved if he passed the medicals.

@Darkness
I doubt that they pick cases randomly. I think interviewing involves human resources and time. In some instances the interviewer has to travel from a VO location to the applicant's place of residence.
For my friend the interview took place in Dublin,Ireland and the interviewer travelled from London.
With most government embarking in cost cutting exercises at present ,they wouldn't do it at random;it has to be case-specific

My medical was done in the first week of January 2010, and the interview was in March 2010... strange! isn't it? If there was any doubt in my application they never ask for Medical.
Passport request I recieved in mid November, and it is with them right now. I hope I receive it with a Maple Leaf! :-)

@Darkness
Strange really !!! interview after medicals ! it must have given you a hell of a shock,you would think straight that there is something wrong with your health. Good that it turned out wonderful. If they ask 4 the passport ,it is PR.
Well done! keep posting and tell us how you are getting on.

Yes, it was a shock but ofcourse they reject if they found anything in Medical. At that time some friends told me that it is due to security check to meet the applicant personally. But anyways that period of time was tense as I never know why I was getting the interview call until the officer told me the very first thing that I have been selected randomly.

Maybe Arshad and wxyz123 is right but I copied exactly the same what the officer told me.

@Darkness
I see you have a point. You got it from the horse mouth as they say.

@Darkness..

Can u help me with the questions they asked..may it will help me..
