Hi all,
I recieved a notification in Jan 2007 that my interview has been waived and was asked to get my medicals and fingerprinting done. But i did not get my wife's medical form and so when i asked for that (thro campbell), Today i recieve a notification that we have an interview next month in Detroit.
We are yet to go for medicals or FBI/fingerprinting.
My questions are
1. Why did the canadian consulate / office suddenly have a change of mind?
2. What do i do since my medicals and fingerprinting will not be done in time?
3. I have been asked to bring 1 year bank statements, but throughout that time period, my bank balance was never equal to or more than the required funds we had to show. What do i do? Can i say that my parents back home can provide and show their bank statement?
Please help
Mike

Hi Detroiter

Do you have any property such as House so you can show it as part of your funds?

CIC doesn't want you to borrow the funds from others; I guess they are asking one year history just to make sure you are self economical affordable.

Not really the funds have to be yours, it is quite likely that the office will require 3-6 months of statements to show the funds were there all along. Property is not accepted as proof of funds at the end stage, only London and sometimes Sydney will consider property equity at the initial application.

Hi PMM

You are all right, I meant to say at the time of crossing of course it has to be money on the bank $$$. But I guess Detroiter needs the proof just for interview not for landing. (CIC accepted my home's property as part of the proof of funds by the way)

But when the process starts CIC do accepts property as proof of founds right? Or they don’t do it anymore. ??

On the other hand I believe I read somewhere on CIC web that they don’t want you to borrow the money ffor proofs… of course, on real life the thinks can be managed as different ways, I just was telling what CIC expects. Unless I did not understand the point, it could be possible.

Please PMM let me know if I am wrong, I won’t provide wrong information on my replies.

Thanks
Eduardo
