I filed for spouse sponsorship in March 2011
My papers were received by New Delhi on June 10,2011 and I was asked to come for an interview on 3rd Sept...
No comments about the interviewing officer but I was called little less than a liar and fraud..They have retained my passport and did not give me any decision. I want to know how should i be prepared and what possible outcome I may face.

I had entered Canada on a visitor visa before getting married in 2010 and my father in law had sent me the invitation letter stating that I am his niece (which is true to an extent through distant cousins but not through blood) Post entering Canada I got married with marriage certificate received from Toronto authorities..I have been cohabitating with my husband and in laws for almost a year and immigration accused me of lying to get into Toronto

Can someone please advise me?

this is the case of misrepresentation...........which is considered as a serious offence under canadian immigration laws.......thats y they called u liar n fraud............my suggestion to u is collect as many evidences u can get to prove that ur relationship is genuine and u were not went there to marry ur spouse it jus happened suddenly i.e try to make some convincing story....tell your spouse to visit u and spend some time wid u.......photographs....phone bills....etc should help u .

Usually they don't really care what people said in invitation letters for a TRV before a PR. Lots of people invite their boyfriend or girlfriend stating they are friends, or get a family member to invite them, and it is not an issue. So I'm sorry it seems to be a problem in your case.
Gather evidence that what was said in the invitation letter was true - that you did go to the sister-in-law's wedding, for example. Then point out (get your husband to write an affidavit to this effect, for example) that if you had not gone to Canada then, you and your husband would still have gotten married, but in India (if this is true, of course), so you coming to Canada on a TRV is irrelevant to whether your marriage is genuine.
