Hi there,
I passed my undergrad this summer. I sent my mother and my wife (Bangladesh) a notarized inviation letter (along with University inviation letter) in order to attend my convocation ceremony. Both were rejected. My mother was called for an interview; but my wife was directly rejected. I showed around 10K in my bank. There might have been 2 problems. One is that my study permit was ending and I did not receive my post-grad work permit that time. Another might me the "money" issue. Even though I secured my job in my final year and I showed them my offer letter, they were not convinced I guess. Since I cound;t show a 6 month bank trasactions, my wife was primarily sponsored by her father.
Now I am working in the same company and am willing to take another chance. I am on post-grad work permit (ending in May, 2013). I will be sponsoring my wife in March, 2011 when I will be able to show 14-15K in my bank. She is a medical intern and she will be finishing her intern in March. I am also undergoing the immigration process under the PNP - Int'l Student Category. My immigration won't get done till Aug ~ Sept, 2011.
Should my wife apply for single/multiple entry? She will be able to provide a decent bank statement from Bangladesh as well. What documents should I provide this time? Any other advice? I will really appreciate. Thanks.
