Seniors please help. Is there anyone in the same situation?
Hi i have lived with the father of my child for 6 months and had plan to get married but something wrong happened and we decided not gonna get married anymore so i have to be separated with him if we are not getting married due to my religious orientation. So i have ex boyfriend back home who is really loving me and wants to help me raise my kid. It is gonna be hard for me being without a partner to raise a child because I have no family in Canada and the father of my child is being selfish and seems does want to help taking care of the baby. So i decided to marry my ex-bf before getting my permanent residency. But me and the farher of my child is common law partners in the CRA although we started living together in June 2013 and we have 6 months old child so we lived together for 7 months up to now. But both never been married in the application in CIC. I have received RPRF/biodata request already on Dec.23, 2013.
In my case, anyone has experience getting married prior to becoming permanent resident. How long is the process or delay before dwcesion made.
Can anyone analize my case and give me advise because my worries are. I am single in the PR application but I updated my application when I had the baby since months ago and the father's name is in the birth certificate. But did not add to the application but we arw common law partners when we file tax benefits for the baby.
I am planning go back home and get married so I can add ex-boyfriend to be a spouse in the application. So I can have help raising my child. I am still in matertnity leave until now that is why I can look after my baby and going back to work in June 2014. So i really need someone who is really love me and willing to help me raise my child.
Please give me some advise. If it safe to do that or is there any conflicts?
I appreciate your help.

if your PR visas have not been issued and you get married, you can add your husband to your file...delays depend on at what stage your file has reached....your spouse will also need to do medicals and pay the RPRF fee....

that's all the information I have....maybe others can be helpful

How about my marital status with the CRA is it gonna be a problem or may cause refusal of the application?
Common law partners in CRA
Never married in PR application.
But i am marrying different person and not the father of my child in the birth certicate that I sent to CIC

My application status medical received
And I have received RPRF/biodata requet which I have not paid yet because I have plan to get married and have not informed CIC yet.

Ronan! you should see a good lawyer right away. I dont want to scare you or anything but I feel as soon as you had your baby with your boyfriend you should have told cic right away that your marital status has changed and you are in common law now, maybe consult with a lawyer first then send them an explanation letter since your file is not been finalized yet so there is good chance they will consider your updated forms let it go. If they found out on their own during background checks then there might be a big problem. Good luck....

Yeah, if you really need, I can recommend a good immigration lawyer which helped me (send me email to poblizosti at mail dot ru)
