Inquiry about Study permit

Hello,

I am a Canadian Citizen, last year my sister visited me as visitor, we were already looking into her higher study and then she liked few university in Canada and want to come here.

My queries:
1. Will it be an problem as I her sibling is here , will it be an issue as family ties? Do I say it in the LOE , even though I am here I will be not helping her with any funding or money, she herself, my family will help the funding.
2. She already has a visitor visa, will it impact negatively? Our parents do live back in our home country and has visited me before too.
3. How much money or funding she has to show Masters student coming alone? for example : Tuition Fee for 1-2 years is approx $30,000 CAD, how much extra money is safe to show?
4. Is it okay to use multiple sponsors, one is our parent and another is our aunt?
5. How many months of bank statement should she show?
6. How long does it take for study permit to be issued? Is 3 month enough time?

1. It can be seen as a tie but she needs to justify costs of the program with career progression and salary when she returns home.
2. No.
3. She has to $21k plus tuition. All on the IRCC website.
4. How old is she? If over 22, IRCC wants her to show her own funds but parents can be considered. Aunt's may not be.
5. Read the IRCC site. All on it.
6. She needs LOA and PAL first. Check IRCC processing times for her country.

So you have PAL and LOA. Your application will not be processed until you have new passport to submit an application. You cannot study until your passport is approved.

Thank you for your quick response so I was thinking can I still go ahead and apply for the study permit with a scan copy of the lost passport and also an explanation then once I get my new passport I can send to ircc by Webform is that possible please

Interesting. But most likely the application will be refused as you don't have a valid passport.

You can apply without an explanation and try to make an update afterwards when you get a new passport.

I already made a lost document report so am afraid ircc might be aware of that already

Weill, your initial plan is the best as the most honest and consistent.

You can apply but it will not be processed and may even be refused quickly without valid passport. Sending a document via webform can take up to 30 days to be added and in that time an officer may review the file without the new passport and refuse it. So take that into account.

It might take 30 days to be added? I couldn't fit all my documents within the 4MB limit so i sent my fathers bank statements in a webform right after i sent my application because they were 30 pages long. I have seen many minors get their applications processed quickly within 2 weeks or so..... do you think it would reach him in time?

You will only know once you get IRCC response. Since you know many minors who got quick processing then ask them.

Alrighty thanks , I also did write a letter to the visa officer as my first page in the financial documents section telling him that i will send my fathers bank statements in webform, can he just ask for it as additional documents? Sorry last question...... I got an email from my college saying that IRCC asked for loa verification , is this good sign or a sign that the visa officer is started looking into my application? I got a ghost update around that time too. This happened just a day after i submitted my application and before I did my biometrics. I asked some students from ICM and they said ircc still haven't asked for loa verification. Can the visa officer choose not to verify it?

Asking for LOA is just a step...don't read anything into it. IRCC can do whatever it wants. IRCC will not ask for additional documents like financial statements usually but just refuse the application. ICM has been known as a scam school so hopefully approved. Doesn't have a great reputation and people think it is part of U of M but it isn't. Just a way to get money from international students when should be applying directly to U of M.
