Alberta health care you can register nextday when land to canada, forget abt expense for helath care... if I am , I will go with Alberta helath care... I am hr in calgary on WP if you need more iffo give me your mail id and I will send you snap mail to you with my contacts.

Lets say after 2 months my wife gets pregnant while waiting for PPR and issuance of Visa.Should we inform the VO about it or just continue the process and we will travel after the 4th month of the pregnancy,for safety reason about the pregnancy (1st trimester is crucial for the baby and mother) and proceed with our landing process and apply for the health care coverage.Since as a permanent resident we are eligble for the coverage on the day of arrival in Manitoba as per the website.

Now my question is should we inform the VO about the pregnancy? or not ? and just proceed as usual.

Nice meeting you im a Filipino too...i asked few people regarding cases of being pregnant before visa stamp and landing they told me as long as its not a birth then it should be alright but when the baby is born already then you need to inform the VO. i inquired personally to an expert to be sure like immigration lawyers and the immigration itself and im waiting for reply.

Yes. No matter where the baby is born, you must inform CIC. Any birth, death, adoption, marriage = you must inform CIC.

To not inform CIC, it's 'mispresentation' and can get your visa revoked (although rare).

It's best to tell CIC, even if it takes a few extra months to process. Honesty is the best policy

Amikety is right..any changes in family needs to be updated with immigration cause it might cause trouble on your status.

Yes, if you land without declaring the new baby, you can never sponsor the baby later. These are CIC's rules. Failing to declare a dependant makes them ineligible for Family Class.

Now, you can spend big money on a lawyer and appeal the case. You will most likely win as babies cannot survive without their parents.... but you have to spend the money! And waste years of your time. Save yourself thousands of dollars and time of appeals and declare the child before landing. It will save you a huge headache too.

If you need to add a baby to your PR application, you need birth certificate, medicals, and the fees for the baby. It takes about 2-3 extra months to process in some cases - but other cases no extra time. (It depends how close you are to getting your visa.) So even if it takes 3 extra months, that's better spending money on a lawyer and waiting for appeals.
