There is nothing to be confused about, you got your AIP and your 2nd stage is been approved too, All you have to do is to wait for the letter from etibcoke for your landing interview. I reckon you will get the letter from etobicoke 9-10th jan and your interview date will be 18-20th jan. So consider yourself a PR. COngrats.

I mailed my Sponsor app and my wife's PR app Nov 23rd 2010, with Visa Extension app enclosed.

When will I first hear from Vegreville?

The envelope was delivered and signed for according to Canada Post records. At what point does Vegreville acknowledge receipt and give us a reference number?

And does anyone know if the term IMPLIED status for visitors awaiting extension is used anywhere on the CIC website or their documentation?

Hi everyone I'm new to the board here. Congratulations to those who have recently been granted their 2nd Stage approval and are waiting for their landing interviews.
My wife and I are hoping we're getting close too. Today eCase updated and here's what it said:

We received your application for permanent residence on March 4, 2010.

We started processing your application on May 20, 2010.

A decision has been made and you will be contacted.

We got our first stage approval letter at the beginning of December. This update seems to be a good thing, but I'm not sure exactly what to make of it. Can I get someone with experience's thoughts? ;D

We were interviewed at Vancouver CIC office in early August for inland spousal application but we still haven't gotten any reply back. It's now been close to 5 months since the interview. I've called the info line and inquired personally at vancouver office but no answer. All they say is that its "in process".... they won't even say how much longer it'll be. This is so upsetting as i can't work or study and my wife is pregnant & we are expecting our 1st child in feb/11. I am worried about our financial situation as my wife won't be able to work soon.. Can some plz give me some advise or info.

on the site it says they process visa extension in 115 days so thats when u will hear from them first, when they gonna send u visa extension.

Hi, we had that status on Oct. 2010, it was AIP and work permit only. Since then it didn't change. I think it should be AIP and not landing interview. But wait for the letter to be sure! Good luck!

my wife got sponsorship approval letter in early december letter dated dec 7 but i got no letter and my ecas updated yesterday so is it possible they updated aip info only yesterday?
