Lilian, congratulations!! Decision made is what I'm hoping for soon :)
Looks like all the Jan people are starting to hear some good news
Well done Adzees and welcome Latvian

Does anyone know if there is a site that has the local in province processing times like for Ottawa, Toronto, Windsor etc?

Hopefully e-cas updates tomorrow :)

Good luck!

Matter of finding it... I have my own in Family too... it's called Decision Made awaiting to be contacted by local office.. but mine is Scarborough, so don't bother checking that one, Kris...
I think you may be the only one from Ottawa... bbbbbbbrrrrrr. (that's the cold sound)... I was in Ottawa on a Xmas day, skated at the frozen cannal and boy, was it cold that day....

Lol, I love the snow here :) Did you hear about the storm in Saskatoon? Were told to stay off the roads....this is winter knocking on our door! I have to learn to skate, have only done it about 6 times!

Ooohh that would be good if I was the only one in Ottwa, no excuses for taking too much time hehehehehe (Unfortunatley I know this is not true) :)

Hi everybody, any good news for anyone?

Sorry I wasn't on lately. Hubby had the past 3 days off work and yesterday we spent all day out to celebrate our 2 years of being together. We walked down to his work tonight and turns out he has tonight and tomorrow night off too. Seems strange but not complaining. Feels like the good days we got to spend all the time together before he started working. I love it.

Also, I still am unable to sign into ECAS. I called the call centre a couple of days ago to ask why I couldn't. He said that they haven't touched my application since they started processing it. (I am thinking they open it up earlier to put you in the computer and then put it back into a pile until they look over it for AIP decision) I asked if they had attached the FBI document I sent and he said that it hasn't been updated yet but if like someone says that it takes them two months to attach it then it wouldn't be updated yet anyway. He reassured me that the moment it switches to decision made then I will be able to sign in and see it. I will still give it a while to see if I can but then I will limit it to only trying when I expect to hear back about AIP which would probably be April 2011. I wish I had better news but maybe I will get some later.

I didn't want people to think I had disappeared or didn't care about you all since I hadn't posted lately. Just trying to enjoy time with the hubby more. Sometimes being on these boards makes me too paranoid and need a break every now and again. I hope all of you have good news or will be soon. We are thinking of all of you and wishing you all good luck.

Well, the time has come for me to say fairwell and wish you all the best with your applications.
I hope my experience and my letters from Vegreville posted in several threads in this forum will help you to know what's ahead of you all especially the newbies. Read them all, it's all there.
Since most of you are now receiving your AIPs, you are on the right path to become landed. I can't wait to be landed myself next month and move on with our life here.
I began wondering as my days passed in this forum if friendships could actually be possible to have from fellow members, and I have finally realized that it's unlikely since everybody is here for his/her own personal benefit, and naturally everybody keeps his/her distance. Human nature in modern times, no doubt.
I will be checking my inbox in case someone wants to send me a private message and then on November 1, I will delete my account (not that it actually gets deleted as I've tried that before, the information posted in here stays forever, I assume).
Like Black-Berry said: try to distract yourselves elsewhere, do other activities, hobbies or anything that will make your wait less painful. I was lucky to have come into this forum only about a month ago and found the info I was looking for pretty much right away thanks to other members' postings and it's what inspired me to share my own experiences with the whole process and more.
I will remain positive and give it for a fact that you all will get your PRs eventually too!.
Peace and patience,
Rob.

Heyyy its good to take time and spend with your spouse. :) You guys are early into your application and reading some of this stuff can sometimes stress you out. The thing is...it is always nice being in touch with other ppl who are going or have been through the same thing. It will be increasingly more theraputic closer you get to your first stage. And when you have a question, you will always have some good buddies to do everything thy can to share their experiences or try find the answer. You are appreciated here anytime you have the time :)

I hope you might have the time to update your great chart some time if you get the chance. There has been some big news for some of our friends here over the past week or two. Some of us have recieved AIP and others delays in their case. (Blackberry hang in there..interview does'nt mean "no" just a longer wait..like you said, you have the man of your dreams next to you. PR is just the paperwork) And it looks like the group here is growing!!

Best of luck to our friends hangin by a thread right now in anticipation of a decision. Positive thoughts bring positive results!

So finally my ecas is updated but i dont see the line that says medical has been recieved. Is that mean they havent recieved it because i had my medical done in january and sent the proof of medical. And yes it was done by designated medical practioner.

We received your application for permanent residence on January 15, 2010.

We started processing your application on March 23, 2010.

A decision has been made and you will be contacted.

I have known this Forum since my partner and I started thinking about being together as a couple in Canada. And It's been reaally helpful. I don't mind the post of people being depressed or not so positive, I know that's the way life is, and when it comes to this Immigration process anything is expectable, this is not a smooth path.
I won't be able to meet everybody from this forum in person, but I will always think of you as a friend that was there when I was in need of some hope. I get so happy when I see the simplest e-cas update from you guys or when somebody receives a letter from CIC, it's really exciting, because I know how hard it is and it's been for each of us not being able to work, not being able to travel abroad, not family around... we are with our loved ones here, but it's still hard to cope with wait, wait and more wait!
I appreciate each post in here, each time you come here and write at least, hi!.
Thank you!

I don't know if anybody had noticed it but the INLANDERS' thread has turned 1 year old couple days ago.
Squirrel started this thread on October 22, 2009!

WTG INLANDERS!!
PEACE! :)

adzees,
I made my medicals 2 times - in June 2009 and April 2010 but my ecas never said that it has been received. I called CIC and they have received it approximately 3 weeks after I done it.

Hey Asta the Lithuanian! ;D
I just joined the forum and now going through some of it's posts and finding some of them quite interesting & useful. however I already submitted my application and now can only hope for the best. I see some people are doing their medicals again, do you know why? I've done mine in July and my son's, who is on the same application, was done in January. Does that mean will have to re-do once these expire?
I apologize for late response beforehand as I'm at work and am getting distracted often ;). This is actually the only forum, which is not yet blocked by our IT, even gmail is locked :(
Write back! Looking forward.

did you go outside Canada between the two dates ?? If yes then it does make sense for having dual medicals. I will call CIC call center next week or tomorrow to inquire about this.
