I thought i would start a thread for people like me as i feel like i dont belong anywhere at the moment.
After searching all the threads and posts, i have realised this topic to be all over the place!

This thread is for Inlanders whose files have been transferred to Local offices without A.I.P. (approval In Principal ) or first stage Approval.

If your file has been transferred without First Stage Approval, This is the place to be.
here we can give each other support, share our frustrations and give each other advice.
I also am interested how many of us are here and how many of us that are here are from the same offices?

I started this because i feel a need to go somewhere if i want to ask a question instead of cluttering the main page with similar stories or spending hours searching . Also if anyone who has either been rejected/accepted after interview can give us tips, advice, suggestions

Lets start with an introduction as to when was your file transferred to your local office?
Which is your local office?
Any questions, advice, frustrations?

I know it sucks... remember things could be worse, you could be 3000 miles away from the person you love. It can be very depressing not being able to work, to have medical coverage, but take heart, this wont last forever

Justine.
From what I hear, Edmonton should be one of the busier offices.
Did you send additional documents after being transferred?
Your foss notes should tell you what the problem is than you can know why they transferred you.
Are you both married?
For how long if so?
Which country are you from?
Kids?

Hugs to you ! Hopefully we will get some support here and learn from those whom have been through it.

Ours was transferred (i think) because my bf was working illegally, and i was in the middle of a divorce.

SO that might have made them question the validity of our relationship. We brought in stuff once a month, and then it just happened. He got his PR and we are getting married this winter.

Congrats :).
do u reccomend itake in evidence as soon as i have itÉ I have loads of evidence that i didnt send and that is why i was transferred i think.
I aso ordered my FOSS notes and they havent arrived as yet.
I am assuming its because of the validity of our relationship which is bizarre that they would come to that conclusion because we have been married 8 years and have three kids. 6,7 and 17 All who are Canadian and here with us in canada.
i thought our case would go smoothly seeing as he is a canadian sponsoring me and hes been married before but divorced.over 9 years ago so i am just assuming thats as the only reason because we dont have any other complications,
Ie . Im here legally
our children are all ours and here with us
none of us has a criminal record.

I also went to the cic office to enquire about my case and the lady told me she will call me for an interview and not to send anything until she calls me for an interview. Am thinkign f just sending in the stuff because most people who send in stuff like that have a quick response and a posiitive income.Just like you. Was your AIP approved over the phone as well.did they interview you over the phoneÉ what kind of questions did they ask

Yes we printed out more pictures, emails, and my bf sent in an letter explaining why he chose to work illegally. I sent in copies of my divorce judgement, and then certificate.

Then they called us out of the blue one day. The lady asked me things like, have I met his parents. Have our parents met. Am I divorced. Has he met my parents. Basically she just wanted confirmation. She never really asked us too much about our relationship. I think that might have been it. Then towards the end, she approved us. This was on a Thursday, on Friday we got the letter along with his OWP. Then on Monday, we got another letter asking us to come to another interview (for further investigation) at Canada Place on April 21st. This "interview" was actually our landing.

As for sending in stuff, I wouldn't really send, maybe just walk in and bring in copies. Then the receptionist will take notice.

Black-berry-
I never thought Edmonton was so busy before, but it seems that way now.
We did one additional submittal of documents, and are considering a second. Waiting to see what FOSS says.
We have been married for more than a year now, and in immigration limbo for over a year too.
I'm the Canadian sponsor, my husband is from East Africa. No kids yet, we are kind of worried about me getting pregnant with only one kind of low income, but we really want to get started on our family! So it won't come as a surprise if I get pregnant in the next few months.
I just wish they would come to our home, see we are a legitimate couple and let us get on with our lives!
