Thanks all in advance for helping.

I am in a unique situation. I have canadian PR. In summer of 2022, I was working in Canada and sponsored my spouse inland, she was with me there whole time on valid visa while we were waiting for sponsorship approval. We did receive AOR and also completed medical and biometric. we were only waiting for final approval.

Recently 1 week back, I had to move from Canada to US recently for few months 8-12 months for work and my spouse is with me. What are my option now?

1) I know that I can withdraw my application now and re-apply once I am back to Canada. But I would like to not do the whole process again.
2) Is there any way I IRCC can pause my application for 8-12 months?
3) we may receive final approval in next 3-4 weeks. Can we travel to Canada when we receive that and accept it once inside canada only and then move back to US once receive PR card? Is this Ok to do?

As you may already know, you can only sponsor your spouse if you are in Canada, because you are not a Canadian citizen.

1. Best option, IMHO.

2. I don't think so.

3. Maybe but because you applied Inland you risk having the application denied if IRCC discovers that you have `moved'. Some people are ok if they only leave Canada for a very brief trip (maybe a couple of weeks), but 8-12 months is crazy.

Good luck!

Thanks Ponga for the reply.

If IRCC discovers that I have moved and deny the application. Can this harm in after 8-12 months when I reapply?

Good question. I wonder if they would find this as misrepresentation; submitting an Inland application but `moving' outside of Canada for 8-12 months.

Best to wait for others to reply.
