Hi everyone,
I have some confusions regarding the spouse/common law questionnaire question No.5.
My husband(the sponsor)and I claimed our personal tax for year 2014 by using common law status based on the fact that we have been living together from April 2013. We got married in Feb. 2015. We don't have any document legalizes our common law relationship before, is that ok? And now I am doing the IMM5284 Spouse/common law questionnaire, should I answer Yes for question No.5
"Are you in a common-law relationship,i.e.have you and your sponsor lived together in a conjugal relationship for a period of at least on year?"
I think I should answer Yes, but I don't have any legal documents except for notice from CRA. Should I just need to answer Yes and submit our joint bank account and NOA from CRA? Is that enough?
Thank you~
