the answer to that question is "it depends!"! 8 months is CIC estimate, and it can go faster, but it's usually pretty accurate for Inland. Look for the "inland 2012" thread, and there is a spreadsheet where you can see others who have applied before and after you, it will give you an idea about the next step.
Good luck,
Sweden

Hello we have the same timeline. I also applied inland and got 1st stage done. 2nd stage seems to be 5 months for some people, it can be faster than that or longer.

this is the 2012 inland link http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/inland-applications-2012-t90875.3105.html

and here is the spreadsheet/timeline for 2012 inland applicants

hi .do u have any idea if they r gonna inform by letter once the second stage is done or are they gonna update it on cic too?

they will send it by snail mail.

Don't they send it by email? That's how we got our AOR and our AIP.

Do they do both, or only snail mail?

They send AOR and AIP by email, but when stage 2 is done they send it by snailmail as some people on the 2012 inland thread advised.
