Inland Spousal Sponsorship August 2020

Hi there,
We have sent the application on Aug 22 and tracked as delivered and signed on Aug 25. Hoping we have filled everything accurately.

Sponsor (me) initially landed as PR in Nov 2018 but only moved permanently in Feb 2020. PA (wife no other dependents) is on a tourist visa arrived Mar 2020 just before the borders shut down, we have applied for her visa extension but application is till in-progress.
Since, I have not filed any taxes yet, all my financials were from USA and I included a cover letter explaining this.

Us too! We haven't received AOR yet, but just received the biometric letter minutes ago. Application sent 8/3, received 8/6.

Good news is that it had an application number on it - which means they must have done something for the application, I'm thinking. Going to go read up on the boards here to understand where exactly things stand

Oddly, when we check the "do you need to give biometrics", it says that it isn't required. (Spouse is from USA).

In addition to them saying all biometrics services are indefinitely closed, and it won't affect the application. Regardless, we paid the fee, and will wait....

We were unable to link to our application (so far), despite the application number being there.

Has anyone else seen this situation?

Recieved my biometric fee reminder today . Telling me I have till next month to pay hoping that's good news. I already paid it with my permanent residence fee. Only paid for one biometric I dont think you need to pay for 2 if you already paid the one for pr you shouldnt need to pay for own one as well I think

Yeah, as I updated above, we shouldn't have even needed the biometrics anyways.... we paid the PR fee, and we paid for both my spouse + dependant.... not willing to take the risk of not doing what they want, regardless of their duplicity....

From what I was reading, you likely won't have to give biometrics again. It's payable online, so I wouldn't fret. If you get the letter, then pay. Otherwise let it ride.

They're not even open for biometrics, but I've heard they are contacting people from back in March to make appointments... So I'm sure we're well down the line.
