Hi everyone, I have realised that you can check your status by using your sponsor's name, not your name as a principal applicant, I have tried to use my name it didnt work but when I put my wife's name(as my sponsor) and her date of birth then use the Application number that was sent to me on the Biometric reminder letter, then I get the information about my case so I think all of us have been doing it the wrong way. So far there is nothing going on but they are just so slow with everything. I still haven't received AOR but they're doing background check, I cant understand what's going on. They received my application on the 13th May and sent me the Biometric reminder on the 8th September and that's all I got.

It's not the same for everybody, I personally can't check it with the sponsors info, I need to use mine (PA).

Aah...I thought I cracked the code, lol! Well I guess I got lucky then for mine to work, hopefully for some it can work too the same way as mine.

For me, it is not showing any records using either mine or sponsor's details.
Its annoying how inconsistent they are working now. Don't understand why they can send out pre-AORs to September applicants already but so many people from previous months are still waiting to hear anything and are not able to see their status online

Same here. Nothing works. Just waiting for AOR. Got a letter with temporary application number on September 25th, saying that my aplication has been received on May 12th. Nothing new since.

I think it is stupid to send out a pre-AOR status. It is totally meaningless. You can't go online and check your status with the assigned temporary number. I think it is purely a PR move to make it look like they are working or at least appear to be working.

You are absolutely right about that, other countries are also affected by covid 19 as well and to my surprise, Canada doesn't even have the highest cases of Corona at all, I mean look at UK...its actually horrible but the government is still processing applications to a very satisfying speed. I came to Canada because my wife couldn't travel to join me in the UK due to her high-risk pregnancy but I did send her application to get her biometric resident permit in the UK on the 16th of April and guess what? Her residence in the UK took only 3 months to get processed and she got everything, including her national insurance number but she can't travel as her pregnancy is high risk and she can`t work. We had to apply for the Family sponsorship because we have no family members in Canada to help her out so I was hoping that I could get a work permit early so I can take care of my wife but the work permit is not coming any time soon, we are spending our savings and waiting for our daughter to be born so we can leave hopefully next month if everything goes well and cancel the application. I haven't even got the AOR at all so they are actually dragging this thing out and trying to make people believe they are working on this but don't be surprised if it takes two more months to get the work permit. But one thing... I am very thankful that the doctors are taking good care of my wife`s health and our daughter`s health so it matters more than the money we`ve used and still using because they are very important to me:)

I used the online tool to check and I used all of my wife's information to check the status and she's the sponsor. That's how I got the information but not through me as an applicant. And I have used the application number that was sent to me through biometric reminder letter and it worked. Some people say for theirs it didn't work then I guess I'm lucky then to even see my progress.

Hey guys! Anyone got AOR yet? Been almost a month since I got temporary UCI.
To be honest they are skipping some of us, giving AOR to people who just filed on September like we have waited for months and we got skipped. I saw a lot of people have AOR already for May but still some of us don't have it yet so let's just wait and see if we could be lucky
