hello, im seeking advice here, my status is TFW at present got married with Canadian citizen so my husband going to sponsor me we almost prepare all require documents but my husband doesn't have yet Canada passport and citizen card because he is a native Canadian and he never ever travel out side of canada in his life, so he never made passport, he has birth certificate and social insurance card. so is that important to make his passport to sponsor me? plz advise if so i will be more delay to submit my paper, i am worried cause time running out..plz advice me tnx
 
No, your sponsor doesn't need a passport, any other government photo identification with his date of birth is acceptable.
 
He must include a copy of his birth certificate as proof of Canadian citizenship.
