Hi

I am from germany and I will come to Canada in September. I have a letter of introduction that gives me a work IEC permit for one year.
My question is: Would it be better to apply inland or outland for sponsorship? I know that outland is much faster. But my work permit is valid only one year. What sould I do? Activate the letter a few months later to gain time? (I will live in Quebec does this change something?)

Thank you !!

If you apply outland as soon as you land you will probably get PR before your work permit runs out, or close to it, actual Vienna processing times aren't too bad. Quebec means you need a CSQ, there are also slightly different requirements on the forms.

Not sure what is the rest of your situation, but it seems like Outland might work for you. Even if you don't get your PR in time, you can still be a tourist up to 6 months.. It's not ideal, but you won't be "kicked" out as long as you apply while in status (or just re-enter as a tourist i guess). Inland gives you a work permit in 4 months (which you already have), and then up to 26 months for Stage 2 approval. That's a long time not to be able to leave the country..
