A sincere and humble thanks to everyone who shared this journey with me. I got COPR today and will do my border crossing on Saturday.

Soon I will document my story from Work Permit Holder to COPR.

Best wishes to all waiting for an ITA and to all waiting for COPR after getting PPR.

Hi,

I just calculated my scores :'( Please advice...

My score is 376 with subtotal, but with Grand total it shows me 476. Which one should I take into account? Lips sealed Embarrassed Cry. Too bad? This includes my Master's degree in Canada + 3 or more years of foreign experience in one field + maximum points for IELTS and other factors, such as age.

WHAT ARE MY CHANCES TO GETTING AN INVITATION?

ANY RECOMMENDATIONS ON IMPROVING MY SCORE? PLEASE ADVICE ON OR GIVE SOME SUGGESTIONS ON REALISTIC THINGS...

I AM RESIDING IN CANADA...

Thanks.

Hello All,

I saw some posts about people getting CoPR this month. Can you please suggest what forms/documents are required while landing (probably Niagara border) for FSW Inland candidates ?

Thanks in advance !!!

Congrats..

Did your BGC was changed into in progree before PPR? how many times?

Iam April 23 AOR

Thank you

Have you people heard of cases are rejected because of security reasons? In other words, inadmissible.
I have heard of three cases that after a long security screening they are determined inadmissible, all from Iran, just because of the supervisor they worked for or the company they were hired :o. I am afraid as my EE is now in 7th month and it is stuck in the security part :'(.

Background check changed from "Not needed at this time" to "In Progress" this morning. ;D

AOR - April 7, 2016

Good luck to everyone waiting on their applications! :) :)

This is a good sign! :)

is the usual trend for FSW inland takes 3-4 months from AOR before BG check?

are there whatsapp group for FSW INLAND?

Hi,

I received my PPR on March 6th. I am an FSW Inland and I have mine and my wife's passport to Ottawa for one time Visa stamping. I believe after I receive it back I have to go to Niagara border to get the PR stamp letter. Can anyone please let me know if we need to show funds for FSW and how?

1. Is Fixed deposits copy from my home country acceptable?

2. Do I need the original fixed deposits certificate?

3. Do they ask for Employment offer letter or paystubs?

4. Is there any other document which they ask for FSW?

Thanks,

Hello people. I need your feedback here.

I have applied for a BOWP on August 15th since my WP is expiring in October. On september 15 i received a do-not-reply email from cic saying

- you do have any updates since you last logged in, thank you for your patience-

So, what does this even mean. I have never come across such a message since i have been on the forum. Never seen any body report this. Is it that since my app has reached 30 days, they just automatically sent a mail?

Hi Guys,

My BGC was changed "in Progress" for the second time September 15, AOR April 23

Praying for all of us.

In God's perfect time we will all receive our PPR.

Hi,
does anybody have an idea what background check usually is for FSW?
Just curious

i would guess that it's about the same as for anybody: two components, criminality and security. The criminality component is checking you criminal records from all the countries you stayed i for over 6 months, then it is an RCMP request, sometimes they ask for submission of fingerprints and sometimes they don't and just run your name through their database. the security as far as i understand is checked by CSIS and border control. have not much to say about what those folks do there.

So is it safe to say that by the notice of BG in progress, eligibility is passed already?
