Good morning folks. I got an update email and i see that my "Background Check" changed from "Not needed at this time" to "In progress" after 3.5 months of being in that state. oh Well, some progress which I was happy to see.

Finally some progress in this forum! Thanks for sharing Prsannaa -no just to confirm you don't have LMIA or PNP correct?

I have an LMIA from 3 years ago, which was needed at that time to get a Work permit (which expires in June of this year). I am hoping that was enough and I don't need a new one again.

Category..........: CEC, Inland (Score 963)
ITA..................: Oct 09, 2015
App Submitted ..: Dec 08, 2015
AOR.............. ..: Dec 08, 2015
Med's Passed.... : Dec 17, 2015
BG In progress...: Dec 17, 2015
BG "Not needed at this time"... : Jan 15, 2016
BG "In Progress".: Apr 21 2016
All possible Fee paid at the time of application submission.
LMIA - June 2013 - when my work permit was renewed. My current work permit expires 18th of June 2016.

Finally some movement!! And hope for everyone!

Happy Monday guys - Just wanted to bump us up for the new week. No updates yet.

God bless!

cic still not done with December inland CEC applications ??

Judging by the December spreadsheet, it doesn't look like ANY December CEC-inlanders have gotten PPR yet.
CEC applications are definitely taking longer than they did last year, it seems :(

Guys.. just a quick question.. I am sorry to post this everywhere but we are leaving tomorrow to USA for a couple days, to do our landing on Wednesday.. I just wanna make sure that I am not missing anything..

I am bringing: Passports, COPR, Proof of Funds (we are CEC, but just to play on the safe side), Letter that came with COPR, current work permits.

Should I bring all my old permits?? Am I missing anything?

Hello, I am sorry to post this here I have just one quick question...

I applied for EE CEC(Inland) without LMIA or PNP and I got AOR on March 16th(about 45 days ago)

My medicals have passed and eligibility review is in progress now.

I am a PGWP holder.

When would be the earliest time I can quit my job without affecting my application?

Thank you so much for reading!

I'm not technically eligible to post a comment here :)

I'm FSW Outland, but as per my GCMS Notes, my application is "promoted"
because I was in Canada on study permit and then Post-Grad Work Permit in 2011-12.
The way my application has been ignored by them, I assume it has been categorized as a CEC.

For me, AOR - Nov 03
BG in progress Nov 05

and total silence since then.

Last week, I received a ghost email but that's it.

I certainly wish all of us here see some positive progress with our applications this month :)

Any PPRs in this group lately ? I am jan 19th aor and nothing so far

I haven't seen a single CEC application from December get PPR yet.
I don't know if there's something holding up CEC applications in general (specially those that are not PNP-supported).

Hopefully all of us CEC applicants will start getting some love again soon.
