I'm seriously so frustrated that September is getting DM before us! Like, how is that even possible?!? Anyone has any idea?

I know it's making the wait even more aggravating!!
I was thinking about this..My theory is that it's bc they never started processing the bgc after medical like they did w July Sep Oct apps. Usually after medical they seem to do a name search in the criminal record database they have and if your name comes up you're asked to do RCMP fingerprints. No one from our month was ever asked to do this. I suspect this is bc they thought they were going to implement biometrics... but that never happened. So my theory is that that portion of the bcg has not been completed yet for us. It's very unfair hopefully this wont result in a major delay

WOW! There are a LOT of updates it seems this month, eh? I see where they "started processing my PR app on Feb 21" which is a GOOD sign, I think, but my Background check hasn't started. Is there anyone out there who BC hasn't started? Should I be concerned????

i have replied to their letter asking for my wife ( sponsor) paystubs for lat 6 months. Fingers crossed. Any idea how much longer now? I submitted my file on August 2, 2018

Ours began processing on Feb 15th, but still no DM (this is decision made, correct?)

Yes DM is decision made. I checked GCKEY yesterday and it briefly showed that the status of the app is being reviewed, instead of just submitted, then quickly went back to "submitted" status. Looking into the details of the app, it said that eligibility is being reviewed. When I checked ECAS status this morning, it showed that decision was made (DM). I have not yet received an email confirming sponsor approval (SA).

If you used a lawyer, would the lawyer be getting all the info or you the client?

The lawyer SHOULD be getting the appropriate correspondence and be able to check the status of your app. They should also be communicating any updates to you. I didnt receive any emails for DM yet though, which I'm guessing is what would trigger the lawyer to communicate updates with you.
