I was actually shocked. The only thing in through the whole process( that i didnt care about it being delayed ) was the fastest

Haha. Too funny. I dont need mine since i dont plan on flying anytime soon...but would be nice to be officially done. Still an odd feeling not having to check status online each day.

Hi everyone.. I haven't posted in this forum in ages. I've been approved as a sponsor, and my husband has been approved for eligibility as a PR. His medical has been passed... now I'm wondering how long after this step do people typically get approved for PR? Thanks.

Could be very soon....just depends on several factors. If there are requests or concerns on relationship. You'll probably hear soon though.

I have my fingers crossed! When I spoke to our case officer last week, she said all they were waiting on was the medical (our doctor f'd up and sent it a month late/and to the wrong address). She also mentioned that we likely wouldn't be needed an interview so I guess that's a good thing!

Wow....havent seen that fast in a long time....was taking 60-70 days recently. Guess we'll see how fast mine arrives. Landed on the 13th

That is so fast. Wish our PR cards get mailed out soon too!

Sucks about the screw up. Sounds like things are getting on track now. When did cic first receive your application? Forgot to include that background checks can also be an issue of delay. They sometimes take a while.

Our application was received in Aug 2015.

They send the results within a week. Takes longer for cic to look at and update. Fact its in review is a good sign.

I got my AIP last Tuesday in our mail. Im wondering why they sent it in mail if i requested it to be sent email during our relationship interview?

Anyway... IS landing interview next after AIP? How long does it usually take?

That happens occasionally for some strange reason---some letters showing up in snail mail. After AIP you need to wait for a decision to be made. Then the landing interview. Timing for DM can vary...it all depends on background checks, reviewing the relationship and if they are waiting on anything else from you. You mentioned having a relationship interview....so it's also a matter of them reviewing the notes from that too and making that final decision.

I would say just call them and ask them about your Medicals.... I did mine on 27 Jan and I called them after couple of weeks next day Ecas showed medical received.....

congradulations nothing as yet we were away for the weekend in Ottawa for my cousin wedding which was beautiful
