Yes, you can travel as long as you meet the requirements for reentry....if you are unable to reenter canada, your application would be determined that you abandoned it. I've been able to leave multiple times as I have an Open Work Permit. I've known many others that have left and come back--all had the necessary documents to return. Here is a link on CIC's website that discusses it.

Hello Folks,

I am submitting my inland application next month.

Its mentioned in the CIC website that applicant under spousal sponsorship cant re-enter canada. I already have TRV up to 2019.

Please let me know what does it means.

Thanks

the only people guaranteed entry are PRs and citizens. You get the OWP with inland but says at the bottom of it that it does not authorise re-entry. People have left and come back in but it is always at the officer's discretion. If you are denied then your application can be cancelled and you can't appeal inland.

Can we following with RCMP if they send the results to CIC? I went for fingerprints and they said that they will forward the fingerprints to RCMP and RCMP is the one sending it to CIC. how are we gonna know? it's only showing that they received my medicals and not the police certificate yet. i did it 2 days apart. I am maybe getting paranoid. lol all i know i dont have any criminal records here. hehehehe

If you are referring to ECAS showing medical received, I'm pretty sure it won't ever update police certs received. Most of the time once they've successfully reviewed the checks, you'd then get approvals.
You could try sending a Case Specific Enquiry to see if they received them...or call RCMP Headquarters to see that they've sent them.

I can call? what is the number? I read that if they wont see anything it should be in by 72 hours. it's been two weeks. i can wait another month.. hehehehe just wondering coz i did it same time with medical, and on ECAS its said medical received. and i know in my heart that i didnt do anything wrong here well, aside from staying longer( i dont have status now :( ).

I think this is the contact info
Email: CCRTIS-SCICTR@rcmp-grc.gc.ca
Phone: 613-998-6362 between 7:30 AM and 3:30 PM Eastern Time

But yes, I've never heard of ECAS showing police check received. It barely updates anything.

You can drop a mail to RCMP (Email: CCRTIS-SCICTR@rcmp-grc.gc.ca) and they confirm the status. I submitted fingerprints on 16th Jan and checked status 3 days later, they confirmed that they had completed the verification on 17th Jan and results have been sent.

I will call and check with CIC tomorrow if they have it.

This process has less visibility to the applicant.
