when i log into ecas it just says application received nothing else.... what do you mean by gcmc notes? how can i get that?
GCMS Notes are the case notes attached to your file. These are the notes that the officers make as they work on your case. You can order those by submitting an ATIP request: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/requests-atip.asp . If the sponsor requests the notes, and the PA is in Canada, you can save the $5 and make a request under the privacy act: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/requests-personal.asp .
You can also request Medical notes as well. When we did our first request, we requested the medical notes, and the GCMS notes for both the sponsorship application and the permanent residency application.
The sponsor should submit the consent form. The PA fills out and signs section a, the sponsor fills out and signs section c.
They will take about 30 days to get.
in ECAS you can check the notes on the PR application by clicking on the link under the "Permanent Residence Application Status". You may see something like:
We received John Doe's application for permanent residence on October 5, 2016.
Medical results have been received.
You can also log into myCIC. In there you will see more detail than ECAS, but less detail than the GCMS Notes. For myCIC you will need to create an account if you don't have one, then link your application to the account. myCIC is here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/e-services/account.asp .
HTH!
