MyCIC showed the same thing for me a day before my sponsor recieved her SA email which makes sense as AIP comes after SA, and eligibility review in progress sounds a lot like theytr working on AIP :)

I can't link to myCIC account because I have a representative :'( And I asked my representative to link my application for me but she says that's only for online applications...? I think she is wrong! I'm thinking of canceling her as my representative so I can see all these updates on my file.

She is wrong I think - your representative can access mycic for you.

Argh I knew it. Hiring my immigration consultant was a big waste of money ><

Just wanna let all of you know. CIC received my application on May 8, 2015 and I was landed in an landing interview@ Etobichoke on Sep 23, 2016.

No AIP, no DM letter no nothing. Just one landing interview after providing all docs that CIC requested to submit online.

There was no personal question asked. No need to go out the country and come back.

The officer landed me over the counter. And I officially became a PR since then.

All we needed to do was to pay the $490 fee, passed my hubby's ID for her to check for the address, passed her my current photo, signed the landing paper. That was it and I was landed.

There was also a person from Service Canada there to give us permanent SIN number, so that we do not need to go to Service Canada to apply one.

Very convenient and very easy process.

Thank you for all who have helped me and good luck to all who are waiting.

hello cutetwins,

how many weeks have you been waiting for passports to be returned to your dependents since you submitted them to CIO?
did you pay anything when you forwarded your dependent's passports through local visa office?

thanks
Hi! It's been 2 weeks na...they included 890 managers cheque for each appplicant...I got 2 dependents

got a letter ask for RCMP fingerprint record :(
so i think it will take longer to get the final decision made

Hopefully it won't delay things too much - I'm sure it will be pretty cut and dry :)

Did you get the request by email?

What's the rcmp fingerprint record for?

i had my dependents mail their passports to my address here in canada. And i have it forwarded in one mail to CIO 'coz i wanted to avoid such big payments. I did not want my representative to handling the shipping either knowing that they would only use ordinary courier service at canada post.

do you think CIO would be a stickler on passport request instructions?

thanks

Thanks for the details. Did you have any visa in your passport? What did the officer do to your visa? I have travel plans and I have a fear that I do not receive my PR card by then. So, I might be able to use my valid visa to re-enter Canada?
