Anyone else thinks this is AIP?
or meds request?

It is AIP:

"This refers to the Application for Permanent Residence you made under the Spouse or Common-Law Partner in Canada Class.
It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent residence as a member of the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class.

Yay!
Don't want to bug, but what do you think this means "Please note that a final decision will not be made until all remaining requirements for becoming a permanent resident have been met"
Thx!

Basically, they won't approve your application until they have all of the required documents (medical, police checks, etc etc). It's strange that they didn't send you a medical request at the same time (since you say you never sent one at all) - ours came with the AIP email. I'd arrange a medical right away, with someone who is set up for E-medical, and call CIC in the meantime to figure out what's going on. They probably just forgot to copy/paste that part into your email. Once you have the medical done you can send a copy of your receipts and the paper the doctor gives you in a case-specific inquiry through the website.

Congratulations! You're in the home stretch now :)

Hi! I just received the same message and am suspecting that we received AIP. Good news I'd say!
I received the same email in May 16, 2016 but i did received before that letter, 2 letters again via email asking me pretty much the same thing Medical request in May 5,2016 so be patient it's on the way and the funny thing is that when you go at the physician office they only need that EMR number (8 numbers) from that medical request letter and they send everything after the medical exam to cic using E-medical

April 29 2015
But I already have OWP through the Pilot program.

Just an update:
I was on the phone with CIC and they told me that this is, indeed AIP - which concludes Step 1 of the application.
We are now entering step 2 - Final Decision "After receiving the approval in principle letter, medical, security and background checks have to be done for the sponsored person and their family members, if applicable. After all the requirements have been met, a final decision is reached and the file is sent to the local office (unless it is already there). The local office will then contact the sponsored person to give them an appointment so they can become a permanent resident of Canada. The processing time for this step varies depending on the case."

Thank you so much for all your help! Appreciate it!

I was checking the spreadsheet (i stopped to look at it everyday about a month ago), people that applied on march 2016 is getting their AIP!!!
I haven't heard anything new from CIC... wondering if i should ask for my notes or something

It's a load of crap. Applied July 2015 and CIC have skipped March-August 2015 apps and seem to be processing Sept 2015- March 2016 instead.

Here's a quote from the CIC website if you're looking for a good laugh (emphasis added): "Applications are processed in the order in which they arrive. Some take longer to process than others. There is no maximum time frame for reviewing an application"

I would find it incredibly difficult to believe that ALL applications prior to September 2015 are considered to be ones that will take longer to process but what do I know...

cic skipped us March to August 2015 applicants, by the looks of it we still have to wait a few more months (I guess ?). This waiting game is just agonizing :(

Hi flaviast,

Could you please let me know when you applied for work permit extension and can we apply for extension without AIP. please share the link to apply for extension as well.

Thanks

Hi Guys,

I got a case specific inquiry on June 22 and I replied back on June 27 and than I got an email that I will get an response in 10 business days. But 13 business days passed I did not receive any email or response from CIC. I called CIC agent today but she said they dont have information regarding case specific inquiry and I have to wait for the response. This is really frustrating..

Does anyone facing the same issue?

Have anyone April 2016 applicant got AIP yet? We have got only AOR & AOR1 and waiting OWP impatiently..

Is there not an Inland 2016 thread? This one is for Inland 2015 applicants. You can check the spreadsheet too to see if anyone has it!
