yes, it is fascinating!

However, due ot inconsistent timelines for applicants it is hard to predict anything. The applications are being picked up and processed in a random order. (referring to the September'2015 applicants)

Exactly this. I'm honestly thrilled to see people who applied as recently as September getting DM, but equally it leaves me confused as to when to expect news on my May 2015 application.

I know, what you might be feeling. Hoping you get to hear the good news soon!

Also,
Like others that have been going through this for a while, my 'happiness' at seeing September applicants getting AIP and DM before my March application, is said with baited breath and feels a little bit like a kick in the teeth!

No offense intended to those lucky few!

I am happy for them but at same time I agree with what you say with being a July 2015 applicant. I am worried that they'll work on beginning (Jan-March) and then end (Sept-Dec) apps first and then the middle months (April-August) will be last to get their PR. I hope I am wrong!

Thanks for your wish browning911.
I already assume myself the "last defender of applicants 2015" - the one to windup this thread. :D

Okay, overall it's great to see things speeding up, especially to see a good 1/3 of Sept 2015 having AIP or DM.

August 2015 application here. This has thrown some unpredictability into the situation though. I had strategically planned to hold off on submitting medical and police check until around the 8-10 month mark (before requested). The idea was that the medical wouldn't expire, and they would look at it and hopefully go SA/AIP/DM all at the same time.

So now the police check is underway, should have it in about two weeks. Will be making medical appointment (for upfront technically) this week.

My concern now, is that the passport expires in about 7 months. That will take about 6 weeks give or take to get renewed.

I'm worried about sending the passport off, then out of the blue getting DM, but not having a passport. Not sure what would happen in that situation. Would we be screwed? Can one land (inland) with an expired passport? Seems the staff manual says it's possible and up to the officers discretion assuming no question of identity, but that's no inspiring confidence.

Or hold off on renewing the passport and hope the whole thing gets done before it expires.

Any thoughts on that?

Just an update for those waiting for PR cards: Landed on March 23 and received PR card today! :D

Congratulations!

How many days did it take after you actually applied for the PR card?

The card request is sent from the officer that lands the person. No idea how long it sits in their `out' box.

I am a August 2015 applicant too. Looking at the speed, hopefully you should have things done before your passport expires but you never know.

Thank you Ponga.

I beleived, that a separate application was required to be made through Service Canada. Thank you for the clarification.

Also, for Inland Applicants, is a passport request made or simply a landing interview?

Congrats! Glad to hear that you finally got the AOR! OMG...Finally Novemeber 2015 Applications are being "detected". I sent two complaint emails to CIC to address that the Oct. and Nov. 2015 applications was stagnated. As we can see, many applicants who submitted their applications after Dec.1 have been issued AORs, but for Oct. and Nov. 2015 applicants, that's not the case. We have been waiting for about 6 months to merely get a AOR.

About 2 weeks ago I sent a online request to ask if the CIC has received my application. Having been waited for 6 months I am anxious and worry about whether my application was delivered safely, despite of the delivery confirmation by Canada Post. This afternoon, I finally got their response which simply says"We have verified the information you provided (the delivery confirmation of Canada Post) and can confirm that your application is in process." The problem is, I still haven't got my AOR, and they wouldn't let me know my UCI in the email they responded to me. I'm really confused...
P.S. My application was delivered on Nov. 20, 2015, as stated by Canada Post.
Anyone who is under the same situation??

I know there are not many from PEI, but just wanted to let people know that getting my husband's PEI medicare after getting his OWP was super easy - all that was required was the work permit and his passport! Happy to have completed another piece in this process!
