The AOR or the Acknowledgement of Receipt is received from CPC-M. I confirms that your application has been received by them. Looking the spreadsheet and from reading people's experiences, it takes anywhere from 15 days to even 7-8 months, or sometimes never arrives.

To know your AOR, you can check your sponsor's or your own MYCIC login. There might be some notification by now.

i just talked to the Sec at the Mps office and she said that since i come from over 600km to the Drs office...I can simply use family Dr to redo the medicals after calling them the cic and telling them of my distance..

She says i have to fill all the forms they said i fill .She says the pace of processing the PR cards and everything is much faster and high possibility of getting my PR card around August,Nov onwards for pple who applied during my time is high now because of much pressure on CIC on their slow pace.


She says if i am sending my package through post then i should include my UCI # on the package so that it goes to the right place.

I would like to sponsor my fiancee and he's coming from an non-visa country. What type of application is faster? He also has all sorts of specialized skills within the trades but is over the age of 45. Any advice?

Hi and guess what??

I applied for PR and OWP in July 23 2016(family class sponsorship)..I got OWP in NOV 19 and aknowledgement of receipt (AOR) in 18 MARCH 2016

They have been sending me contradicting mails and recanting telling me to ignore saying that its an error.
Today i got SURPRISE OF MY LIFE I got an email from cic instructing me to fill ADDITIONAL DEPENDENTS/DECLARATION(IMM0008) ,MEDICALS,ORIGINAL POLICE CERTIFICATE FROM MY COUNTRY(Which i sent a copy) they want original.,IMM 5406 (Additional family information ) and IMM5669 BACKGROUND DECLARATION.

I filled all these forms when was i sending in my application package,i did medical upfront in from a Dr. who is a panel physician...

I got so annoyed that i called my M.P to discuss whats the way forward before i could start to fill any form..She will respond on Monday cause they were closing the offices at 4pm...I wonder what these people do with applications sent to them..They are making these process so complex for nothing.

My friend cousin who was sponsored in the U.S has everything now.. Pple in the same time line pls share...THANKS

Since you have had your Med Exam done and it's still valid, just simply send the e-med sheet scan to CIC through CSE ( or so called IRCC webform), saying you've done that, in a nice and firm way.
They will accept and fix the mistake.

They said its already expired and that i have to do it again and fill all the forms they wanted me to fill....However they said that i can have all that done through my medical doctor...

I dont know how to go about this though.....Pls help

Wow ,they're super fast ! I was checking March applicants on the sheet every day. :-X
If they don't slow down ,they're gonna complete all 2015 applications in next few months , lol. ;D

I could live with that - quite looking forward to being done with immigration dealings for a while!

Ultimately you're at the mercy of CIC here. If you've been told to complete a new medical (as opposed to them simply having lost your old one) and to complete those forms then I would strongly suggest that you do so promptly.

There is no way out for me i have to redo the medicals(which is not a big deal) and fill the additional forms (which i already have) not a big deal either..

I just dont how to tell this to my doctor ??
