Sophie,
I noticed that the time between the........... Decision Made.................PR/Landing...................PR/Card Received
can be up to 3 months. Are you permitted to travel outside the country when the decision was made, or do you have to wait until you actually receive the PR Card ?
Thanks

You are permitted to leave Canada after you officially land as PR even without your PR card. Depending on whether you are visa exempt or not, you can come back to Canada. If you require a visa, you may need to apply for PR travel document to board plane back to Canada.

You are NOT PR after DM status. You are still a foreign national temporary in Canada until you land as PR.

I was just checking out everyones timeline...and Im feeling a wee bit pished off! My husband is Canadian born and bred, We got married December 2010 in Australia, Myself and kids came to Canada March 2011, we filed Spousal class (family) in May 2011, we got through initial 1st stage in April 2012 (work visa approval) we've had a medical every year, but having looked at my online status, the last point we were at was they were "looking" at our file October 2014...I had to renew my work visa in March this year, and not received one...cant work..cant renew healthcare cards, 15 year old can't take part in drivers ed because theres no evidence of her "under sponsorship" My 21 year old daughter can't work to support her little girl, And the children have until the 16th of october to provide CIC paperwork, and then they're booted from school. We've not ever left Canada...was told we weren't allowed to leave, so Ive had to miss out on family events and such things as funerals...So here we are 4 and a half years later...anyone else having this problem? So much for that whole Commonwealth partnership thing!!!!

Hi!
I had a baby girl and I need to add her to my application. Is there a form I need to fill out or do I just send CIC a letter with a copy of the birth certificate?

Hello everyone,

I have a question, I sent my PR application along WITH my OWP application on August 01. My visitor visa expires (06 months) on November 13th. When I read the thread I came across a post saying you don't need to apply for a extension IF you sent your OWP application WITH PR application, having said that I couldn't find any direct prove for this in the CIC site.
It said
"If you apply to extend your permit, and your visitor visa expires while you are waiting for a decision, you still have temporary resident (visitor) status. This is known as implied status."

So does this mean automatically I have Implied status as of the date I sent my application (I still didn't receive AOR) and I don't need to send an extension visa application ? Is there any other written guideline/evidence given by CIC to support this ?

Thank you !!!!! :)

Hey guys I got the email from cic today that my PR application was completed. Ecas show decision made :)
They said they'll give us an appointment at etobicoke cic office soon. Should I be expecting an interview? If yes , how should I prepare for it.

It is there paulschild. Check July 03 2015 for your entry. I have checked your update of OWP date before I edited map76's. Congrats!

Yes, you automatically have implied status. However...if either application (Inland PR or OWP) is returned to you, because you submitted an outdated form, missed a required signature, or paid the wrong amount for the OWP (which is $255, not $155)...you would lose your implied status.

As long as you are absolutely certain that all forms were the latest versions, signed where required and that you paid $255 for the OWP, you'll be fine.

Good luck!
