There is no better way than checking the spreadsheet, although it looks like that the issuance of the OWP's are quite random. Someone from January 29th already received it, but others from December and early January are still waiting. And most of the 2013-2014 applicants who sent the OWP separately after Dec 22 are still waiting too.

So what should I do if I couldnt get my OWP before my post secondary work permit expires? Do i need to leave the country? Is anything else I can do? I am currently working full time as professional accountant and my husband has PR status. Does that mean I have to quit my job?
I am so worried...

You will have implied status, which is legal, so you don't need to leave the country, you can stay and wait for your work permit.
Continue to work is a trickier one, if your work permit is extendable than you may be able to continue to work, but if it's not, than you have to stop working. You can ask your MP to contact CIC and ask a written submission from them. See the FAQ in my signature for details.

The OWP was issued on April 15,2015.
It is valid for 2 years ( April 15, 2017).
My passport expires in 2018, so, at least in my case, the OWP expiry date is not related to my passport expiry date !

Yes, others from the FB group reported it!

Pilot program OWPs are valid for two years, or till the passport is valid, whichever comes first.

Just curious to know why you chose the Inland route, since most people from the UK seem to complete the entire process Outland soooo much faster?

My husband had a job as a TFW so he would have benefited from implied status only he was laid off along with everyone else at his job after it was sent. *snort*
Since it was already out the door and I'd already shelled out the money, it was one of those "oh well" moments. I don't have the $$$ to pay for another kick at the can at the moment (no explanation needed I'm sure), plus which, I have no way to withdraw that application. I imagine it sadly languishing in an overflowing inbox somewhere... or maybe it's fallen into no man's land between the wall and the filing cabinet like my documents did at the CRA head office years ago.
Anyway... I didn't have a lot of free time prior to sending the forms out and saw the 29 month turn around at the London office and thought WTF?! I have since learned that this probably does not reflect reality AND that CIC only has service delivery standards for outland applicants. Oh well, too late now.

My papers are ready for sending but i have a problem.We need to move into the apartment but on may 30.My working visa expire that day so i cant wait to send papers 30 of may.We living in small place its hard to find something it would be convenient.Can i send papers and explanation.Thank you in advance.
