I have a query and I am inland Applicant of December 2nd 2015.

I just received Medical upfront for myself and my non accompanied two children who lives back there in my home country. I cannot do their medical in the mean time as I am in Canada. How can I inform CIC about it.Will that bring refusal to my case. I am already frustrated from the long wait and now this issue...

Use the RCMP process - its very efficient. My parents used it for their fingerprinting - they basically went to the local police station, completed the fingerprinting and the results were transmitted directly to RCMP. RCMP did the check the responded within 1-2 weeks.

Meanwhile, provide evidence to CIC (receipt from the police station) that the finger printing has been done - this gives them assurance its going to come soon and you have met the 30 days mark.

Hi Guys - I had been requested for fingerprints yesterday. I don't know why they are requesting things 1 after another when they can ask everything in one go.

Anyways, here is the thing which makes me stress. The letter states that the results should be received within 30 days so I got the fingerprinting done on the same day the request is received. My concern is that there is not much visibility in the process, the agency sends it to RCMP and RCMP sends it to CIC and there is no way to track status. I had been reading stories on internet where it is not received by CIC in multiple cases.

what I am thinking to get another fingerprinting done this Friday with results to be sent to myself so that I have a back-up copy to be submitted in case CIC don't receive the first direct one. Does it make sense to you guys or I should trust the agency and the process?

Also, how much time do you think it will take more from now? My wife who is my sponsor has a travel planned end of Feb but I am not sure we will be done by then.

I did it through a local accredited agency which confirmed that they follow the same process as to directly transmit to RCMP.
However I am thinking to get another done from local police sent to my own address just to be on the safer side. I hope it will not complicate things

. Hi everyone for those who received their landing interview, can I ask if there's a validity of passport says in the letter? I haven't receive my landing interview, because my passport will expire feb next year, thanks in advance for those who will answer

All it says in the landing letter about validity of passports is "In order to grant you permanent residence, you must provide us with satisfactory original identity documents. All applicants must provide their original valid passports at the landing interview"

oh thanks I just asked because when my dependents received their passport request it says in the letter that that passport should valid for 12 months

Sounds like it is a different letter if you have dependents. Someone else could probably answer your question.

According to the automated attendant at the call centre, it's August 25 2015. But there has been activity from applicants up to November-December.

My app was received on Aug 5, 2015 and havent received anything from CIC ..NO SA, AIP OR DM

And that's what the automated attendant says, "Applications received before 'Tuesday August 25, 2015'". I am pointing out that, there is action happening for other applicants as well that are from after that time.

Ya I know and I heard this message as well but I saw many Aug applicants got their DMs.. I wonder who do they skip some or maybe some apps are easier to go thru than the others .. not sure

Not every case is the same, right? Maybe more, maybe less in the evidence area... who knows? You can try calling to find out what is going on...

I just called them and the agent looked up my application and said everything seems normal, background check is in process .She also mentioned that we still within the 26 month range, so you should wait .

should I send them more relationship proof? or should I just hold still and wait for them to contact me , whether they want more proof or any other documents .

i ordered the notes before and it was still in process.

I received 2 AORs and they sent a request to do medicals on Nov 25,2016 and I did it a day after . It showed "passed" 2 weeks after on MyCIC
