I called them several times, they were saying that 26 months were the normal processing time. I don't know what else to do. I'm stuckana0911 said:@ abrakadabra if you are a june 2015 applicant the 16 months for first approval has passed so call cic.I was a june 2015 applicant...landed at the cic in etobicocke in november.received sa and aip in october and landing letter in november.
Try contacting your local member of parliament. He/she can make the process faster when the normal processing time is passed. At this time, you should already have SA and AIP.abrakadabra said:I called them several times, they were saying that 26 months were the normal processing time. I don't know what else to do. I'm stuck
Thanks for advice. Is it better if I contact MP or my husband? (he is a sponsor)sylvain1 said:Try contacting your local member of parliament. He/she can make the process faster when the normal processing time is passed. At this time, you should already have SA and AIP.
The constituent should (that's him until you have PR).abrakadabra said:Thanks for advice. Is it better if I contact MP or my husband? (he is a sponsor)

I can only find the online submit function to submit a question. I cannot find a phone number for Case Specific Enquiry. Is the web form better than calling?? It's a pretty urgent matter.
The end is near. If they have asked for meds, then the end is near. Try not to fret about it.pinkgeek said:Thank you so much, Profiler! I really appreciate your help!
I was getting so excited after hearing they wanted a medical check for him, thinking we were getting close to landing, but now I feel totally defeated. Staying positive though! Thanks again!
It is probably better that the sponsor initiates contact with the MP, but if you go to meet the MP, the best will be to be both present.abrakadabra said:Thanks for advice. Is it better if I contact MP or my husband? (he is a sponsor)
So I called CIC again to get the opinion of a second agent. This time, they told me that I am only halfway there with having SA/AIP (did not tell me my medical and background are passed like the first agent). And when I explained to her that I have tried EVERYTHING to link my application and it still won't work, she said then the problem is on their end. Wonderful. :'(simpsol22 said:A glimmer of hope to consider: Most applications do not take 26 months--a very small percentage is even over 20 months. They are currently landing June 2015 applicants--along with others. You could very well hear some news soon. I'd call back and get an opinion of another agent. You may not even get a decision made letter. Often they skip that and an email arrives with your landing appointment. Given that you got SA/AIP recently and no other requests....you should be landing very soon.
