Hi guys, I just received my notice of landing interview at Etobicoke. I am wondering that will I officially be a PR after the interview or it will have more process? Thanks.

Official PR (conditional is possible -- if you have been with your partner for < 2 yrs and you do not have a child together). They will send away for your PR Card, which will come in the mail.

Oh, thanks, we have been together more than 4 years and I am pregnant :) I hope it means everything will be good

Congrats! Hopefully you don't have a baby between now and the time that they hand you that COPR! :)

Conditional PR is the same as PR. Just imposes a restriction that you and your partner must cohabitate. Really, isn't that the idea anyway? :)

But yes, 4 years will mean you probably won't have that. The landing interview is simple -- just a few questions to the sponsor and the PR. Then it's all over.

Do you mind sharing your timeline?

Congrats!!! When are you landing? I'll update the spreadsheet. Did you ever get AIP or DM--or just SA and landing?

We've been together a year and half when we applied( now 3 years) but we have a newborn when we applied my pr application. Does that mean i might get the conditional pr as well?

I believe it's 2 yrs and/or child in common from the date you apply. Even if you get the conditional PR, it's the same as the PR, just has a cohabitation component to it.

Took about 15 minutes and I was asked only the usual basic questions. Was able to pick up my permanent SIN a few hours later at Service Canada.

Huge thanks to everyone here for the endless advice, optimism and encouragement. I wish you well in all of your applications!
