Re: Consequences of withdrawing a PR application ??

My husband and I have made the decision to return to Germany. I've applied for PR inland in April 2015. I've been on an OWP since August 2015. It expires in July 2017. I'll probably leave between February and July 2017.

Now, what happens if I withdraw the PR application? Will I have to surrender my OWP right away? We're hoping to get a refund for my PR card fee.
They've also asked me to go through another med examination. And I don't really wanna spend the money. :/

Your answers would mean a lot to me. Thanks!!!

CIC is starting to work on April apps. You should be landing before your trip. Your PR App is a condition of your OWP...If you cancel your PR app, they will likely cancel your OWP. When did you do your medical? Did the letter state it was expired and to do a new one? Some people have been able to have a valid medical passed, even if it's been over a year.

Hi guys...my husband and I went to an interview in Etobicoke office this week because CIC had concerns about our relationship. We have a genuine relationship so we answered every question honestly. At the end, the officer told us that she is going to approve us, does that mean our application is approved. and What is going to happen next?? Thanks !

Well, they did prove it's possible....25,000 in 4 months anyway for refugees. Let's all hope! We know they can--but will they do it.
I think the reduction is for all apps submitted prior to Mid-June 2016.

Hi guys,

I am August 2015 applicant, I received 2 AORs - first in October 2015, second - in February 2016. Since that time nothing has happened, hence in June I decided to send them my medical (w/o CIC's request). eCas still shows my status as "application received". I called them, the agent said that they had received my medical, and there were no further requests from CIC at the time.

My sponsor's employment info has change recently, (I changed my employer in October 2015 and did not notify CIC right away, although at the time of the application I already had an offer from the other firm, so I mentioned I would be working at the different firm soon). My question is - should notify CIC (through online form) that the employment info for my spouse and myself has changed?

Sorry if my message is hectic, I was trying to give you a lil background. :)

Most decision made without relationship interviews are positive ones

You can link your app to MyCIC, it will tell you whether it's approved or rejected
