So, you're sending the requested proof a few days beyond the 30 days that you were given? If so, don't panic.
Juts be sure to send it with delivery so you know that it's been received by CIC.

Also, let CIC know that it's been sent. Reply to the email that you received (even if it says `Do not reply to this email'), send a fax to the number in the email, and also send a Case Specific Enquiry as well.

Hello, I have a question.

I sent my background check with the application. Will it specify on my ecas that Background check has been received ? like they mention for Medical results?

What am actually saying is we don't have joint account and we just did it at the bank.. Was thinking the cic agent can doubt it cos we just did bcos he requested for it?and the date is ok it

Oh...you never had that account when you submitted the application?

Going to the bank to get the account now, is NOT proof that you were in fact an eligible applicant (Common-Law) on the day that CIC received the original application.

Not sure how this will help now, but...all you can do is try.

Good luck!

Your twins birth certificate will do the job.
How?

That wouldn't necessarily prove that they were married, right?

I still don't see what it proves after the fact, but...

You've been asked to provide additional proof, because the officer has doubts about your relationship.

It doesn't matter why they think they need it, but unfortunately they seem to think they do.

The husband's ecas finally updated. It now says "medicals have been received". I'm hoping this also meant they sent his AIP. It's almost been 3 weeks since I got SA.

They only want to know if the relationship is legit. If there are kids involved I THINK it usually proves it. Just like the joint account prices relationship so does having kids prove it.

There's really nothing more that you can do now, but wait for CIC to respond.

Good luck!
