How can you apply the day after you get married? The marriage certificate comes after a month or so....and it is obviously mandatory to include the marriage cert. in your application for PR.

Some Inland applicants have simply included a note with their application, stating that the marriage certificate will be forwarded when it is received. Not saying it's the best option, but there have been those that have done this.

Hi guys and do they send AOR to e-mail???
How do you receive the acknowledgment of receipt?

I applied at the end of January 2014.

Yours should be coming to the sponsor's email address soon.
Check the Excel sheet for 2014 Inland applicants and you'll see what point they are at.

Like you said , its not the best option. Whats waiting for your your marriage certificate to arrive in your mail that takes a month or so when you have to wait at least a minimum of 10 mos for the first stage anyway.

Folks,

Please join me in signing this petition to demand CIC to improve processing time for inland spousal sponsorship and grant sponsored spouses Open Work Permit upon Acknowledgement of Receipt instead of AIP.

http://www.change.org/en-CA/petitions/citizenship-and-immigration-canada-improve-processing-time-for-inland-spousal-sponsorship-and-grant-open-work-permit-upon-aor?utm_source=guides&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=petition_created

The result of this petition will be forwarded to the Minister and Director responsible for Immigration branch of CIC operations, as well as immigration media reporters. The more you spread this, the sooner we can reach the required number of signatures. So please help if we agree on this.

Thank you,

I signed the petition.

im trying to sign the petition but its not working out for me

Probably not...my sister is getting married back home mid-September but I don't think we will risk it.
I know that it would probably be ok but I'll be travelling with my newborn son and husband and really don't want to potentially face being denied, especially as my application would then be considered "abandoned"

Like you could totally get lucky and reenter without an issue but it's very much up to your own discretion!

P.S. My sister reminded me of the first time we travelled to Canada in 2010, on one-way tickets with no other ties to our home country and we were granted 6 months visitor visas no problem! We didn't realize how lucky we were back then...naive...lol

Hello once again im needing of advise because my husbands work permit will expire june 2014 we just submitted last week an inland sponsorship together with extension of stay as worker with it and passed it to mississauga. Do we still need to pass another application of extension to vegreville? Thank you so much.

If you included IMM5710 (Application to Change Conditions or Extend Your Stay in Canada as a Worker) I've been told that you have implied status. (inland only)

The person on implied status can remain working (with the same employer under the same conditions as the original work permit ) until a decision has been made. That decision can be positive or negative. If you paper work is incomplete and they send back your application you may lose your implied status.

Once your application reaches stage 1 you should receive an open work permit only than can you look for a different job.

This is what I did. Sent app in Dec, got AOR in Jan, sent in marriage cert in March. No problems so far, but we'll see.

The original app included the marriage license instead, with a note that I would send in the cert when I got it.

Thank you jumps2013 however im scared because of the moratorium now on foreign workers that they are not issuing work permits anymore because of the LMO. Will he be affected by that?
